  Betty's Story - Life After Stroke  
  • On one of these holidays we took a day flight in a small 3-seater aircraft from Cairns to Cooktown. Getting into and out of it was quite a challenge.
  • We have often flown to Tasmania for Naval re-unions. On one of these trips we visited Strahan and took a float aircraft to the junction of the Gordon and Franklin rivers.
  • I can also walk without aids, but my range and speed are both limited.
  • Despite all this I have been able to enjoy travelling quite a bit over the years.
  • Several times from 1985 to 1989, we flew from Adelaide to Bundaberg, Qld, spending 2 weeks on each occasion, with my childhood girl friend.
