AGM 2018

Talkback hosted its Annual General Meeting on Sunday 5th August at the Buckingham Arms Hotel.

31 people attended the meeting. It was great to see some new faces and to see so many of you there!

During the AGM, we heard from the chair, Sarah Clifton and Treasurer, Bill Palmer.

Following the AGM, Talkback members enjoyed lunch together. There was lots of talking, laughing and socialising across 3 tables!

Overall, it was a very successful AGM and lunch!

Port River Dolphin Cruise

On the 7th of April, Talkback members, family and friends all came together to share a day together aboard the Port River Dolphin Cruise. Whilst guests waited in anticipation to sight the infamous dolphins, many enjoyed a laugh, chat and photo with new and old friends. Luckily dolphins were out and about bathing in the rare hot Autumn sun. A sweet lunch at the Pancake Kitchen post cruise allowed guests to refuel and recap the morning highlights.

Bowling:

On Sunday 23rd July, Talkback held it’s second social event for 2017.
Talkback members and their families had a blast enjoying some friendly competition of ten pin bowling and enjoyed lunch afterwards at The Republic Norwood.
We welcome any ideas for future social events so please pass them on to Elle at elle.finos@gmail.com. Thanks for your ongoing support and we look forward to seeing you at our next social event!

Orienteering:

On Saturday 1st April, Talkback held it’s first social event for the year.

With some help from Cheryl and Dean’s friends from Orienteering SA, we had a great morning navigating our way through the orienteering course at Hazelwood Park. We enjoyed a morning tea afterwards and it was fantastic to have around 30 people attending the event. A special thanks to all the helpers on the day! For those interested in orienteering events held in SA, you can visit their website: sa.orienteering.asn.au/
